Greetings All,
The new blog is up and running! There's still some tweaking to do, but I think it's solid enough to start making the move.
Some new features include: free fiction from yours truly, highlighted books, a better system of links and more.
Please visit WESTERN SENSIBILITY and update your bookmarks accordingly. This site will remain up for the foreseeable future, and I may port some of the posts from here over to the new site, but NEW posts, including reviews, will appear on the new site.
As always, thanks for coming by, commenting and your support.
Regards,
Russell Davis

Coming Soon...
Greetings,
After a great deal of thought, I am in the process of streamlining my various websites and blogs into one location. What that means is that after a period of transition, my primary website - Morning Storm Books - as well as this blog will both point to a single location. The main page is up now, so if you want to visit and update your bookmarks, please feel free. It's located at Western Sensibility. I hope you'll come by.
I'm very excited about this move because it will mean far more regular updates, and superior content that covers a wider variety of topics. The new site, Western Sensibility, will continue to offer book reviews and commentary on western fiction, non-fiction and poetry, but it will also serve as a place where I can discuss other topics, different genres of fiction, and even contemporary subjects that may be of interest. There might even be a bit more of shameless self-promotion.
Since I have received a few queries, I wanted to let folks know what is coming up, review-wise. In the pipe are reviews of work by Elmer Kelton and Steve Hockensmith, as well as short reviews of a handful of other western paperbacks. On deck is a graphic novel, STRANGEWAYS by Matthew Maxwell.
I'll ask for your patience as I try to make all this work in a cohesive way, while I'm trying to get a great deal of "real" work done, too. If anyone is bored and wants to stop by the property and help build horse corrals, you're more than welcome.
Regards,
Russell Davis

Cowboy Friendly
Greetings All,
You may notice the new COWBOY FRIENDLY sticker on the left-hand side of the blog. Apparently, the fine folks over at Cacties like this site enough to offer me one of their site awards. If you like western apparel - and they have some very nice stuff - drop by their website and take a look around.
